Mr. Navin Kumar, a 33-year-old energetic and visionary entrepreneur from Kund Road, near Narayani Devi College, Bahroad, District Kotputali, Rajasthan, transformed his passion for horticulture into a successful agribusiness venture through scientific training and entrepreneurship. TRAINING :
Mr. Kumar participated in a 30-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on “Nursery Establishment for Fruit Plants” organized by ABIC, ICAR-CAZRI, Jodhpur, from 11 July to 9 August 2023. The training provided practical and technical knowledge on nursery management, propagation techniques, production of quality planting material, plant health management, marketing, and nursery enterprise development.
ACHIEVEMENTS :
Within a short span of establishment, “Plant Care” has emerged as a successful fruit nursery enterprise with an annual turnover of approximately ₹80–90 lakh. The nursery has earned the trust of farmers by supplying healthy, true-to-type, and quality fruit plants at affordable prices. The enterprise has contributed significantly to promoting horticulture-based entrepreneurship in the region and serves as a model venture for aspiring nursery entrepreneurs and rural youth interested in agribusiness.
